Happy New Year from Wooplaw. It was a bit of a devastating end to year but the new year will bring many opportunities for the coming year and beyond. I would like to thank everyone for their hard work over the last year and their continued support for the coming year. The priority for the beginning of the year is to continue with the clean up after storm Alwin, we are looking at several options at the moment including clear felling the bottom end of the wood and replanting. The priority at the moment is to clear paths and make safe any dangerous trees. The more volunteers we can get the quicker we can clear up and get things back to normal, we will be at Wooplaw most weekends so if you have some spare time and can help out pop along. Details of what’s happening at the weekend will be posted to the website, Facebook page and group on a Tuesday night. We will also be creating a just giving page in the next few weeks to try and raise some money to buy equipment that will help us with the clean-up and process some of the wood to use in projects.
